Something practical and inexpensive such plastic or resin chairs and tables etc. can offer good value - look out for items made from recycled plastics (we are currently seeking a local supplier!). There are many colour ranges available and the only maintenance required is a wipe over with a damp cloth and detergent.
 
If you have a bigger budget, furniture made from natural wood is excellent. Always check that it comes from a sustainable source. If you can avoid imported hardwoods, so much the better. Willow is another excellent choice for items such as fencing. Fast growing, it was once commonly used and is now regaining its past popularity.
